free download photo editing softwareCan I download camera/photo editing software for free from the internet?

I recently bought a camera. I can't attach a lens to it unfortunately but I heard somewhere that one can download some type of software that can change a normal photo into a fish-eye lens picture for example.
My laptop doesn't offer any programmes or software that I would like in the department of photo editing.

Do any of you have some free websites that are safe enough to use?

Thanks!
GIMP and paint.net are two applications that photographers commonly used.

GIMP, downloaded from is a full powered photo manipulation software. It does most things that Adobe Photoshop can do, however is a free and legal download. You will find a large supporfree download photo editing softwaret group for GIMP, as well as numerous add ons to extend it beyond the capabilities of Photoshop.

paint.net from is a lightweight image editor, it's good for running on low performance computers, such as portable platforms. It's not as comprehensive as GIMP, but covers the basic needs.

You also have irfanview which is a RAW viewer/converter, useful too to have. Google Picasa, offers image manipulation as well as a nice cataloging system.

All the software I've mentioned here are free to download, and perfectly legal.
You can download Picaso,Movie maker,Or adobe they are all great I have all of them except for the Adobe one but you can check free download photo editing softwareit out and they all work great and have various selections of editing software (: good luck and happy holidays !
I haven't tried it myself, but I have read in some photography books that Gimp is supposed to be quite good, nearly as good as photoshop but free.

There is also a tutorial.

picassa is a good free program. It doesn't have all the editing facilities that a full-blown one like Adobe CS has but it is reliable and safe.
yea if you use the google picaso editiing software.. works great.. (i am a sports photographer) and it works wonders... or use gimp
ALL downloads are free. It's the license you pay for.
