adobe flash player 9 installation problemsCan't begin installation of Adobe Flash Player 9?

I wanted to restore my computer to its original state, so having done this, I needed to download all the programs I lost. This includes Adobe Flash Player 9, which is where my problem begins: I cannot even begin to install it. I go to the website, click the "agree and install now" link, and the page just reloads itself; nothing happens.

I've made sure that all other windows and applications are closed (includiadobe flash player 9 installation problemsng antivirus) when I click that button. I even cleared out my computer with CCleaner to get rid of temporary files.

I looked on other websites to find the answer to my problem, but no one seems to describe the one I am having. And for the record, my flashplayer (if I have one) doesn't have ActiveX controls yet because I restored my computer to its default mode.

I have XP and Windows Explorer 6.0

10 points to the answadobe flash player 9 installation problemser that works!
go windows update get your prioority updates installed there may be a file like direct x at top the screen that is hanging you up

Here will tell you if it's installed or not. Skip Shockwave if you don't want it. You may need to find their Flash uninstaller (.exe). It's somewhere on their site. Run it & make sure everything Flash is gone, so you can do a clean install.
